Peter J. Nicosia Esq.

A graduate of the Massachusetts School of Law and Plymouth State College, I joined this law firm (then known as Boudreau & Associates) as a Law Clerk in 1992. Simultaneously, I was serving as the Judicial Clerk for the Justices in the Massachusetts District Court system.  In 1994, I became an Associate Attorney with the firm. In 1997, I became Vice President and Minority Shareholder (under the prior name Boudreau & Nicosia, P.C.). In 1999, I became President and Sole Shareholder of this law firm. To date, I remain the full owner and Managing Attorney of the firm.

The bulk of my specific practice is concentrated in complex state and federal civil litigation. My litigation practice emphasizes business litigation, personal injury litigation, real estate litigation and municipal matters in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine. My practice is also concentrated in all aspects of residential and commercial real estate transactions as well as general corporate representation for small and large businesses.

EXPERIENCE

Personal Injury

• Represented a victim of a sexual assault & battery and forcible rape in which she was awarded over one million dollars against two separate defendants.
• Represented motorcycle accident victim that suffered leg amputation in a multi-million dollar civil claim against individual and corporate defendants as well as various insurance companies.
• Represented accused defendant in multi-million dollar civil claim arising from a fatal shooting.
• Represented defendant in multi-million dollar wrongful death case arising from an automobile accident.
• Represented estate of a motorcycle accident fatality victim in a multi-million dollar civil claim.
• Represented auto-accident victim in large civil claim where accident resulted in the victim sustaining a coma and serious spinal cord, internal, head and numerous broken bone injuries.
• Represented coma victim in multi-million dollar dram shop, alcohol liability civil lawsuit against numerous defendants.

Commercial Litigation

• Represented notable professionals and large businesses in various commercial civil lawsuits in the federal and state courts involving millions of dollars and multiple defendants in each case regarding general business disputes and/or the fight for control over business empires.
• Represented general contractors and property owners in multi-million dollar commercial construction litigation matters.
• Represented a number of large and small corporations/businesses in handling virtually every aspect of their legal needs ranging from general corporate, real estate, municipal and litigation matters.
• Represented inventors in multi-million dollar federal civil lawsuit for patent infringement against numerous corporate giants.
• Represented a number of business and individuals in state and federal courts against large insurance companies regarding various insurance claims.
• Representing other attorneys in the defense of malpractice actions and law firm divorces.

Municipal and Real Estate Litigation

• Represented two dozen families in front of municipal boards seeking to stop the construction of a state University dormitory complex.
• Represented two dozen families in front of municipal boards seeking to stop the construction of a large scale subdivision.
• Represented a number of developers and/or individuals in all phases of municipal approvals for purposes of large scale and small scale residential and commercial building projects.
• Represented a number of large scale and small scale Sellers and Buyers of businesses, including obtaining all local and state license approvals.
• Represented businesses for various license violations through town/city hearings, administrative appeals and into the state court system.
• Represented land owners and developers in various land use litigations in superior, land and appellate courts regarding buildable status of land, use of easements and various land use restrictions.
• Represented a number of individuals, groups of investors, corporations and other businesses in their efforts to acquire local, state and federal licensing with respect to beginning new business enterprises in various communities.

General Corporate and Real Estate Representation

• Represent individuals and businesses in the purchase and sale of large scale and small scale residential and commercial real estate assets.
• Represent individuals in the buying and selling of a wide range of businesses including all licensing of the same.
